Then Paragliding in Nepal is a wonderful and fulfilling experience for a once-in-a-lifetime adventure. This trip will take you over some of the best scenery on Earth, as you share airspace with Himalayan griffin vultures, float over the villages, monasteries, temples, lakes and jungle, with a fantastic view of the majestic Himalayas.

Pokhara is considered one of the best destinations to paraglide since it provides a breathtaking aerial view of Pokhara City, Phewa Lake and the Annapurna Himalayan range close up. Paragliding in Pokhara takes off from Sarangkot. Sarangkot is a popular destination for viewing sunrises and sunsets. You will be picked up from your hotel in Pokhara and driven to Sarangkot, approximately 45 minutes away. After a short briefing from your instructor, you will get ready to take off, launching from about 1800 meters elevation.

This adventure will allow you to see three peaks, a view of the lakes and monasteries, jungles and the entire city. The 25-30-minute flight will be one of the most enthralling experiences of your lifetime.

The experience of soaring high in the sky, getting a bird’s eye view of the Annapurna Range, Machhapuchhre, Lamjung Himal, Hiunchuli and Phewa Lake, rivers and green fields is something you will never forget.

You will end your adventure by landing near the banks of Phewa Lake, where your driver will be waiting to take you back to Pokhara. You will also get to take home the memories of your adventures with your free flight video.

ITINERARY

Day 1

Arrival at Kathmandu

After getting in the flight at your own lands, your flight will begin to enter at the land of the Himalayas, Nepal. The glorious view of the high hills from the flight will enables you to make guess that you are now entering at the beautiful land of the earth, Nepal. After getting off the flight, you will be guided towards the Hotel Room by the representative of the Mega International tours and Travels.
Day 2

Kathmandu to Pokhara

From Kathmandu we will drive towards the Pokhara. The drive will continue for about 7 to 8 hours through the main trail. In the leisure time, we can visit at the beautiful and one of the famous places of Nepal i.e. Pokhara. We will stay the night at the Pokhara at one of the best hotel.
Day 3

Hiking to Sarangkot (1590m)

From Pokhara we will make the early morning hike towards the Sarangkot. The hiking to the top of the Sarangkot will offer us great view of the high hills along with the glorious view of the beautiful surroundings including the green forest, cultivated regions, local settlements, beautiful lakes and other several things. We will stay the night over there at some local hotel.
Day 4

Paragliding and sightseeing tour

Today we will have the paragliding. We will wake up early in the morning to enjoy the great sight of the sun rising from the east piercing the white snows and Giants Mountains. Then we will wait for our turn to have the paragliding at the Sarangkot. The paragliding will take us to the Pokhara valley near to the Phewa Lake. After Paragliding, we can visit at the different places where we can enjoy the real beauty of the Pokhara valley. We can visit the lake side enjoying the great view of the surroundings. The splendid view of the white hills and green forest at its waist views most panoramic from all aspects.
Day 5

Pokhara to Kathmandu

From Pokhara we will return back to the Kathmandu. The wonderful view of the surroundings that we can view from the window of the vehicle will be spectacular. Driving for about 7 to 8 hours resting at some places, we will return back to the Kathmandu and rest the night over there.
Day 6

Farewell

From Kathmandu, we will walk towards the airport and will catch the flight towards the home destination. The farewell program organized by the Mega International at the airport will be interesting to attend. After the farewell, we will board up in the flight and will fly towards the home.

Things to know

You can go paragliding in Pokhara year-round as long as it’s not raining and the thermals are active.

The peak season for bookings matches the normal tourist season in Nepal – September/October/November and February/March. The fall months are the clearest where thermals develop quickly with easy, high flying of up to 3000 m.

Paragliding companies offer 3 flights a day, 7 days a week: 10:30 AM, 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM.

  • Please wear running shoes, a full sleeved top and a wind jacket
    • this tour is not suitable for people with mobility impairments
    • Minimum age for participation is 10 years old
    • This activity is subject to optimal wind and thermal conditions. There may be some additional waiting time if take-off conditions are unsuitable.
