Mardi Himal trek recently has attracted a lot of attention of the trekkers. It is natural for any trekkers to explore the place with a natural scenario as well as the place influence with the culture and tradition. The trek was officially opened in the year 2012 as before that the trial was only popular among the campers which follow the amazing beaten trails of the shepherds, the typical cultural influence and the remote life. Mardi Himal base camp offers you with the spectacular views of mountains like mountain Annapurna, Mardi Machhapuchre.

Mardi Himal lies at an altitude of 3580m above the sea level. The trek leads you to feel an amazing scenario

ITINERARY

Day 1

Arrival at Kathmandu, hotel transfer

Our airport representative will pick you up from the airport terminal and you will be then transferred to the hotel in our private jeep. We will hold a pre-trek meeting where we will brief you about the trek and introduce you to your guides
Day 2

Drive/ fly to Pokhara

Our guide will pick you up from the hotel at 6: 30 and escort you to the tourist bus station. Bus leaves at 7:00 am. After 7 hours of adventurous highway ride you will reach to Pokhara,” the city of Lakes”.in the evening we will enjoy the lakeside view, walk by the lake and explore the night at Pokhara. Day 3

Drive to Kande and trek to Deurali(2230m)

Our day trek starts with early morning breakfast in Pokhara and a 40min drive from Pokhara to Kande through Pokhara Baglung Highway and starts trekking from Kande to Deurali. The trail ascends to the ridge at 2060m for about 1 and half hour. We will continue our trial through stone steps, terrace field and reach Pothana where we will have our Lunch. We will eventually continue our trek to the beautiful village through Rhododendron forest to the mountain pass called ‘Deurali’ with the majestic view of Annapurna South, Mardi Himal and Machhapuchre. Overnight at Deurali.
Day 4

Trek to forest camp (2900m) 5-6 hrs

After our wonderful time in Deurali, we will make our way to the forested ridge to the forest camp. The trek to forest camp is treacherous where we will walk through the dense forest with red rhododendrons, which is Nepal’s national flower. Passing through stone steps and terrace field followed by the uproaring view of flowers field we will reach the destination of the day, forest camp. Since the trekking trail is new, there are no tea houses or hotels, therefore we need to pack our lunch and water.
Day 5

Trek to low camp (2970m) 5-6hrs

Early morning after breakfast we will head towards low camp through the admiringly wonderful views along the way. The trail gradually ascends up following the ridge. On our way to low camp, there are several tea houses, where we can have our lunch. The closer view of Machapuchre and Himal Mardi and a clear blue sky adds other layers of refreshes to your mind.
Day 6

Trek to High Camp (3540m) 5 hrs

The more we ascend the closer the mountains appear. Today our trail ascends along the ridge towards Mardi and Machhapuchre. We may encounter the national bird Danphe on our way as we leave the tree line and come across the shrubs with the rhododendron bushes. After a certain climb, we will reach the destination of the day High camp from where you find yourself much closer to the snow capped mountains and clear blue sky.
Day 7

Mardi Himal Base Camp (4120m)

Today the trial is longer as well as difficult with the steep climbs and rocky steps. After hiking along a narrow ridge for about 2 hours we will reach to an upper viewpoint from where we will see the astonishing view of Mardi Himal along with Annapurna, Hiuchuli and Machapuchre. The view will relieve your tiredness and again after another 2-hour walk through ridge we will finally reach to Mardi Himal Base Camp. From the base camp, it feels like Mardi Himal and Machapuchre appears just above us. Overnight at a nearby hotel.
Day 8

Trek Down to Low camp

As for the people who find descending down easier today trek can be easier and shorter. Even though the steeps and rocky route the view and surrounding make the trial interesting and different. From the base camp, we will trek down to low camp where we will be staying at a hotel with the exploration of villages and culture along the way.
Day 9

Trek to Sidhing village (1700m)

Along with the new route, we will experience a new environment, new village and lifestyle along with the culture in today’s trek from Low camp to sidhing village. The trail descends down to steadily through the rhododendron forest, terrace farming to the village in sidhing where one can explore the culture and Nepalese countryside lifestyle with a portion of typical organic food. The waterfall in the village offers exciting cannoning experiences. Sidhing village has a service of Homestay for the visitors
Day 10

Trek to Lumre (1450m)/ Drive to Pokhara

It takes about 2-3 hours to reach lumbre from Sidhing village passing several terraced fields and villages. Finally, we will reach lumber from where we will drive to Pokhara, a city of Lakes and a well-known place for tourism. We will explore the lakeside view in the evening and spend our night with the entertaining night environment in Pokhara.
Day 11

Drive/fly to Kathmandu

Today, we will take some time to return back to Kathmandu. Firstly we will drive to Sarrangkot for the sunrise view and have a tour over the lakeside in Pokhara before returning back to Kathmandu. We will see the immense beauty of Pokhara, the caves over there, Davids falls and return back to Kathmandu.
Day 12

Departure

Today you will be bidding farewell to your short trek in Nepal. Representative from Mega International Tours and Travels will drop you off at the International Airport and wish you for your happy and safe journey.
